Amigos Mexican Restaurant in Boise

Disappointed. Terrible. Salt for days couldn't hardly touch our food. Half a bean in the bottom of the chips and melted cheese on one of the chips; did they put someone's nachos back in with the chips? They were so nice and friendly, which is why I was really sad that the food wasnt good.

While I understand than cinco de Mayo is incredibly busy for Mexican restaurants. We waited for nearly two hours, completely understanding that they were slammed, only to get our food home and have it half cooked, missing ingredients and had plastic wrapping in the enchiladas. Only ate a few bites then just couldn't anymore. Incredibly disappointed.

Honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the microwaved burrito or the microwaved tamale. Tried the chimichanga hoping it would be better and it was just the same thing with sauce and cheese on top that comes off on a single layer, not even fried. Everything was just bland. SO disappointed especially after reading the reviews. I don’t normally review restaurants but this was just so bland. Service was great and the people nice, but should have been tipped off on the quality when they said our order would be ready in 10 min..

The food is edible. Not much to write home about. I believe there was a recent change in management. Food was much much better before.

Here and Enrique's in Kuna are great places to come for great Mexican food. Wanna try their homemade Tamales here. Good lunch specials here

The best chili rellenos I have ever had. And the staff is all smiles and quick service. A great place.

The owner is such a nice man. Delicious Food. Chips and salsa are fantastic and the salsa is pretty spicy coming from a guy that can handle it. Definitely try it out.

I'm really surprised that at the time of this review the rating was only 3.7! I'm disagreeing with everyone that went below a 4. Sure the service isn't lightning fast but if you want amazing food aren't you willing to wait a bit to enjoy properly made mexican. I talked to the owner "Gil" I believe and hes getting more help within the next two weeks. Stop by this place, great food and great people could be found here.

Quick (sit down), unpretentious and good service. The food (I lived in Guadalajara for 10 years) is generally authentic (stay away from the mole; it's store-bought). Enjoy a cold Mexican beer, great salsa (& chips) I recommend this restaurant.

Delicious and affordable! Cute little place with fresh salsa and good prices. I'll definitely be back!

Very good food high quality ingredients the chicken mole a burrito was superb they also have Mexican beer on tap and their salsa and chips is to kill

Absolutely the worst mexican food I've ever had. Old tortillas, microwaved (and bland) food. Service was fine but the food was so bad.

Very pleasant dining experience! Dishes were delicious and several very unique! We will be back to try more. Salsa was some of the most flavorful we have had in years

Good spot for solid Mexican food! Excellent service, tasty food, and fantastic atmosphere. If you ask, there's a super spicy salsa you could get with your chips!! My favorite was at the end -- they gave a Mexican lolipop with the receipt! Amigos is a great spot and I recommend it if you're in the mood for Mexican.

Excellent burritos as well as Salsa. The salsa appeared to be a unique blend to me and it was very flavorful

Good Mexican food. Still looking for a crispy chilli relleno and some.

The salsa is excellent, as is the guacamole!! My man and I went last night, and even though it was about 40 minutes until closed and we were the only guests, we were served with excellent attitudes and smiles! The fish enchiladas are exceptional!Definitely worth it!
